The RoSPA National Diploma in Advanced Driving Instruction has become the highest open qualification for post-test instructors in the UK. It provides access to the DSA Fleet Register, enables trainers to qualify to work in specialist business areas and carries an external BTEC accredited qualification at award, merit and distinction level. Up until the 1st January 2006 the West Midlands Group Diploma Course enabled our members to train for the Diploma in Advance Driving tuition qualification. Since then, RoSPA have replaced the Group Diploma with a new qualification called Advanced Tutor. An Advanced Tutor holds a higher qualification than the Approved Tutor. RoSPA HQ will test Advanced Tutors. The RoSPA Diploma and Advanced Tutor are higher qualifications in Advanced Driving Instruction, either of the qualifications allows the member to train and test West Midlands Group full members holding a Silver or Gold Grade to become Approved Tutors. This is how the West Midland Group has continued to grow since 1978. We help each other to help others. If you want to go further with your training there are more opportunities. All you need to do is ask. We need these qualifications to maintain a uniform training schedule within the local groups and to standardize training nationally. So that all tutors can be included for insurance purposes, and the local groups continue to grow. The West Midlands Group are currently offering training to reach Advanced Tutor level and when details are available, they will be posted here. Home page |
