Group Meets
We have a Group Meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month. The location varies across Worcestershire Warwickshire or the West Midlands and consists of a 20 - 30 minute drive with a tutor and a navigator along a pre-arranged route. You will find the location published in the monthly Newsletter.
At these meetings the members may choose what type of drive they want:-
(i) A training drive - here you will be taken out along a pre-determined route and will be coached or tutored in general terms as you drive. If however there is a particular area you need help with then you should inform the drive organizer and this can be arranged.
The tutors on these drives will not be your usual tutor; we feel that the advantage of this is that you may get a different pair of eyes that may have a different way of explaining a point.
If you have not yet been allocated a tutor you will find it extremely useful to come along to these meets as an introduction to the training and to meet others within the group. You will need to come to at least one anyway for your assessment drive before being allocated a tutor.
(ii) A drive that is scored by the tutor - this will be where, after you have completed the drive, the tutor will de-brief you on your drive and award you points on various areas of your driving. You can then, if you wish, be entered into a competition that is run annually between February and October.
These training drives are to improve any area of either driving or driver training that the members require. When you join this group we do try to accommodate all your needs. The group exists for the benefit of the members and if there is something you realistically need help with, either with driving or tutoring we will do our best to make it happen.
